     Description

Taiwan’s first dance-theatre work to confront the phenomenon of “lonely death.”

Premiered in 2024 and invited to the Taoyuan Iron Rose Festival in 2026.

The 2026 version continues the work’s exploration of the phenomenon of “lonely death,”
reworking its structure and content
to open up another way of seeing and experiencing its original inquiry.

The House—a house left behind.

Before what remains,
how many falls were we unable to catch?

If our hands could hold one another a little tighter,
might there be less regret?

As The House turns its gaze toward those who departed in silence and the traces they left behind,we began to consider whether the work could extend beyond the theatre.

Lei Dance Theater therefore launched A Light in the Corner, a social action project
that carries the issues addressed by the performance into real relationships and tangible action.
