Resonance 2020<\/p>\n<\/div> 60 minutes<\/p>\n<\/div> Sep. 4\u20135, 2020<\/span> Sep. 11\u201313, 2020<\/span> Sep. 19, 2020<\/span> In Resonance<\/em>, the performers integrate physical mime training into their dancing bodies, shaping and distilling human actions and intentions into a distinctive physical vocabulary. Through this process, the work seeks to move beyond the conventional boundary between dance and dramatic performance.<\/p>\n At the same time, the company has become increasingly dissatisfied with the traditionally fixed separation between performer and spectator. Step by step, the creative process has explored participatory, interactive, promenade and immersive forms of performance.<\/p>\n Throughout the creation, we continued to ask ourselves: How might audiences experience a deeper and more immediate form of participation within the theatre? Could we invite them to enter into dialogue with us through their own actions while watching the performance?<\/p>\n Creation is an ongoing process of dialogue\u2014with oneself, with others and with society. Faced with scenes of violence that accumulate layer upon layer, how will we respond when, this time, we find ourselves within them? How might we resonate collectively?<\/p>\n<\/div>
